Tim is very creative, I'm so excited to see this video when it's done! Here are some photos from "Choices" one of Film Club's latest projects. It was filmed in the Davis High Auditorium. The video will be about how other people can influence your decision, but it's ultimately up to you to make the right choice.
Tim Ngyuen (director, producer, main character, and creative genesis of this project) won Best in Show at the UMAF (Utah Multimedia Arts Festival) last year, and this project is bigger and better than the last. Click here to see the awarding winning video he last directed.
Many Film Club members came to sacrifice their Saturday to come help Tim, and ended up happy they did. The project was very fun to work on, and all of them got to be extras in the film as well. A lot of the member had also previously dedicated some time over the Christmas break to work on Jackson Daneluk's movie project called "Sabriel" which will be entered into the English Quest contest. It's great to see a group of high school students so involved in an extra curricular activity! Film Club is a great opportunity for students to involve themselves.
This project is going to be entered into the UMAF this year, and we expect to see some awards in that contest as well! Tim is a Junior at Davis, and has big plans for Film Club as a Senior next year! He really sees the vision of Film Club, and wants to improve it and make it bigger and better.
In the film, some of the main character's closest friends look up onto the stage at the main character. They soon become angry and begin to yell and scream at the main character. After they climb over the seats and get close to the stage still yelling, the lights turn off and it goes dark. The lights then turn back on and the main character sees himself sitting in the seats. There are many that can influence our decision, but in the end we are the ones who get to choose.
When the video is completely it will be posted to this blog!
