Any student entering a film must follow these guidelines:
- All students entering the festival must be between 12 and 18 years-old
- All entries must include all original content. No videos with copyrighted material will be considered for winning places. This includes:
- Music
- Sound effects
- All Visuals
- Logos
- All entries must only include appropriate content. Any entries with inappropriate content will not be considered for winning places. Any entries with the following content will not be accepted.
- Nudity or sexual content
- Language including any profanity or any references to drugs, extreme violence, and sex
- Extreme violence
- Any questions on acceptable or appropriate content should be discussed with the Festival Coordinator, Matthew Havertz - bananahavertz(at)gmail(dot)com
- All entries must not exceed five minutes in length. Exceptions may be made for videos that were created for another purpose (just specify so on your entry form)
- All entries must provide a DVD VOB copy and a DVD AVI copy of their content.
- DVD VOB copy must be playable in a NTSC (American) DVD player.
- DVD AVI copy must include a thumbnail picture (any size). Video file must be retrieved as an AVI file from a computer. The picture should depict the essence of the entry; most probably a screenshot from your movie. The picture file should be retrieved JPEG or GIF.
- All entries must include an entry form provided online at the bottom of this page. Entry forms include
- All entries must credit (most probably on a credit roll at the end of the video) all appropriate sources that may include but are not limited to the following.
- Director
- Producer
- Screenplay writer
- Where/who the idea came from
- Editor
- Locations
- Actors
- Crew Members
- All entries must be submitted to Linda Greenwood no later than 3:00pm on Friday April 15th.
